The most popular pre-wedding facial treatments: this is what brides want before the big day

There is something that never changes: every bride would like to look beautiful on her wedding day. Today, however, we have many more options to choose from than just a few years ago. We looked at what most soon to be Mrs. asked from their beauticians recently.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is basically a skin abrasion process, where the beautician, with the help of a diamond-headed device, finely sands the dead skin cells off, removing contamination and greyness. Moreover, it can be used to make wrinkles and scars less visible. After the treatment, the fresh new skin becomes more lifelike, softer, rosier, and absorbs active substances more deeply. It’s suggested to undergo the procedure 4-7 weeks before the big day, so that your skin has time to calm down and look as beautiful as possible on the wedding.

Makeup tattoo

More and more brides are asking for a long-lasting makeup before the wedding, which we can fully understand, because – provided, of course, that it is done in an appropriate, demanding location and by a qualified beautician! – there is no risk to a makeup tattoo. If you are in the hands of a professional, you should not be afraid that the result will not be as good as you have imagined. There are other serious arguments in favour of makeup tattoos: first, the tears of the touching moments will not wash away the eyeliner; second, after the big kiss the groom’s face will not be covered in lipstick; and third, they will make you look beautiful long after the wedding. In the case of makeup tattoos, the most important rule is to go to a professional beautician and to have it done at least four to five months before the big day, since you may need correction in case of incorrect absorption and toning of the paint, and this way you will have just enough time to do it.

Ultrasonic serum delivery

A few days, or rather one or two weeks before the wedding we suggest that the bride undergoes only indulging and nourishing treatments. We are thinking of treatments which do not only make the skin look more beautiful, but can also help the bride to relax. It’s very important to take a break from the otherwise stressful tasks of organising the ceremony. During ultrasonic serum delivery, the cosmetician applies nutritious cosmetics to the skin, neck and neckline, and uses ultrasonic waves to massage them deeply into the skin with a special handpiece. The serum is thus absorbed much more deeply, which produces more visible results. This treatment makes the skin smoother, brighter and more elastic unlike any other conventional skin cream or masks.

HIFU

HIFU uses radio frequencies to treat the skin. Radio frequency waves exert heat in the deeper layers of the skin making collagen fibres – which are responsible for keeping tissues tight – to contract. The new generation HIFU machines are extremely precise, so the beautician can deliver the suitable frequency wave to the right depth of the skin. The treatment can achieve similar results to plastic surgery in terms of skin rejuvenation, but it can also help with dewlap, under-eye wrinkles and circles, and you don’t even have to worry about recovery time. For the perfect result, it’s recommended to have the treatment a few weeks before the big day. It’s also important that you choose a cosmetician who is qualified to handle HIFU machines, otherwise – no matter how modern the technology is – you may not get what you wanted.
